Kacey Musgraves is making plans for the Grammy Awards.
The country star tells "People" she'll be bringing her mom as her date to the event. But her boyfriend will be with her as well, since he's a member of her band. She also calls him and the group her good luck charms, explaining that they "keep each other calm."
Kacey is a four-time nominee heading into the event, but she's not sure if she'll write a speech ahead of the ceremony. The singer believes that would be pointless, because anything prepared in advance will probably "go right out the window" if she gets to accept an award.
Musgraves adds that after the ceremony, no matter what happens, she'll be celebrating with "something bubbly." The 56th annual Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles and air on CBS on January 26th.
And Kacey just might have more on her mind than the Grammy Awards. She's been tapped to open select shows on Katy Perry's upcoming tour. The pop star's "Prismatic" trek will begin in Raleigh, North Carolina on June 22nd. Musgraves is currently an opener on Lady Antebellum's "Take Me Downtown" tour, which runs through the end of May.
