Carrie Underwood is getting recognized for her charitable work.  The country star will be honored as this year's recipient of the Country Radio Broadcasters' Artist Humanitarian Award.

The presentation ceremony is one of the opening day events at the Country Radio Seminar, which officially gets under way in Nashville Wednesday morning.

Billboard.com says Little Big Town will also be on hand for the first day of the convention.  The group is slated to share their story in a panel about perseverance in the country music industry.

Carrie, meanwhile, will be back at the convention Wednesday night.  She's set to join Rascal Flatts, Chris Young, Thompson Square, and others to play a special Grand Ole Opry-sponsored show.

Little Big Town is also slated to perform during CRS.  The group is one of many artists who'll be featured at one of the label-sponsored events.

Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Kacey Musgraves, Darius Rucker, Kellie Pickler, and Craig Morgan are some of the other stars expected to appear.

The convention will come to a close Friday with the annual New Faces of Country Music concert, featuring Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge, Tyler Farr, Charlie Worsham, and Cassadee Pope.
