 Ends 1/16 - There is a free-will donation spaghetti dinner along with a silent auction for Preston and Sarah Keller on Friday, Jan 16th at Good Shepherd Luthern Church in Bismarck.  Preston was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and Sarah has MS.  An account has also been set up for the Kellers at Choice Financial, 324 N. 3rd St. in Bismarck.
Ends 1/17- The Bismarck/Mandan Type 1 Diabetes parents Support Group is holding their third annual rummage sale on Saturday Jan 17th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at Lord of Life Church (1143 N. 26th St, Bismarck). Proceeds will go to Connect-One-D which helps people impacted by Type 1 Diabetes.  For more information call Susan at 426-8856.
Ends 1/17- St. Mary's Parish in Bismarck (800 E. Broadway Ave) will be hosting a Polka Mass on Saturday Jan. 17th at 4:30 pm.  Music will be provided by Po Ko Ma with 2 accordion players.  They are also hosting a Borscht Soup and Knoephla Soup meal with pumpkin blagenda and kuchen. Food will be served from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  Adults – $6.00     Children (6-10 Yrs) $3.00.  Soup and kuchen will also be sold to take home after the mass.  If you have any questions please contact Contact Alvina Reichert @ 527-6037.
Ends 1/18 - Mandan High School presents the musical "9 to 5" at the schools auditorium Jan 16th  - Jan 18th.  Performances on Friday and Saturday are at 7:30 pm and Sunday's show is at 2:00 pm.  Tickets will be available at the door.

Ends 1/18- The JP Wagner Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a Soup & Fry Bread Tasting event on Sunday, January 18th from 4-7pm at the Ascension Church Education Building located at 1911 S. 3rd St. in Bismarck.  The cost is $6 for adults, $3.50 for kids, and children under 5 eat for free.

Ends 1/24 - The YMCA, Go! Bismarck Mandan and the University of Mary’s Emerging Leaders Academy are hosting Healthy Family Fun Night, January 24, 2015, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the YMCA (1608 N. Washington St., Bismarck). This year’s theme is MEDieval, so get ready to go back in time and unleash your inner prince and princesses!  Please join us for fun activities for kids pre-school through 6th grade and their families! Activities include an obstacle course, inflatable's, Zumba, and more! Bracelet making, body tracing and coloring, crown and shield making; or joust your way into education with interactive booths like bike safety, teeth brushing, and winter safety! Ends 1/24 - The Bismarck-Mandan Civic Chorus presents An Evening on Broadway, featuring music from West Side Story, Into the Woods and La Boheme (Bo-em).  Performances will be Friday, Jan 23rd and Saturday, Jan 24th at 7:30 both evenings at the Sidney J Lee Auditorium on the campus of Bismarck State College.  Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for students.  For more information go online to: bismarckchorus.com.
Ends 2/1- The Washburn Lions Club will be serving a Lion Sized Breakfast and have its Meals on Wheels Bake Sale on Sunday Feb. 1st. from 10:00 am -  1 pm.  Food served will be : Biscuits and Gravy, Sausage, Scrambled eggs, Hash browns, Juice and Coffee. The event will take place at the Washburn Memorial Hall Building in Washburn, N. D.  Free will Donations will be accepted to help fund Lions, Local and Worldwide Projects.
Ends 2/5- The North Dakota Corn Growers Association and the USDA Risk Management Agency are sponsoring four one-day risk management training sessions across North Dakota.  The sessions will take place on Feb. 3rd in Carrington, Feb. 4th in Minot, Fed. 5th in Bismarck and Feb. 6th in Fargo.  All events are free and will run from 8:30 am - 4:45 pm.  For more information call 701-364-2250 or go online to ndcorn.org.
Ends 2/6 - The Abused Adult Resource Center is holding their 5th Annual Love Without Fear Fine Dining event on Friday, feb 6th at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club (930 N. Griffin St.). Ends 2/12 - Want to learn more about electricity and how we get electricity to our houses or how to stay safe when working around high voltage power lines?  This class will be “shockingly” fun! The Burleigh County Extension Office along with ND Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives and Border States is hosting an electricity project and safety class, Thursday, February 12th from 6:00-7:30 pm for youth ages 8 and older.   Youth will learn about high voltage power lines as well as electrical safety at home.  With the help of local electricians, youth will make a heavy duty extension cord.  Call the Burleigh County Extension office to pre-register at 221-6865.  Class size is limited.  Being in 4-H is not a requirement to attend this class.
