EEnds 5/14 – This Thursday, May 14, Bismarck will become 143 years old and you are invited to the party!  The fun starts at 6:30 P.M. at the North Dakota Heritage Center on the State Capital Grounds, West Entrance Event Center.  Come on out and help celebrate Bismarck’s 143rd year and sample a bit of Bismarck’s multiple cultural heritage.

Ends 5/16 – You are invited to the Laurie (Markel) Bemder Benefit this Saturday May 16th at the Mandan Eagles. There will be a Taco Bar from 5pm to 7:30pm. Silent Auction will also be held during this time. Live music from Stealin’ Country & Friends will be playing from 8:30pm to 12pm. Laurie was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, and Stage 4 Metastasized Breast Cancer . If you are unable to attend the benefit, donations can be made to Starion Financial the “Laurie Bender” account.

Ends 5/17 – This Sunday is the Sixth Annual Mandan Dacotah Lions Strides Walk for Diabetes Awareness and Splash & Dash  at the Mandan Lefty Faris Field.  Come rain or shine walk for Diabetes Awareness. Registration for the walk is at 1:00 pm with the walk starting at 2:00 pm. The walkers will have an opportunity to get their blood sugars checked before and after the walk. 


Ends 5/17 – The Freedom Riders 19th Annual Jan's Run is coming up this Sunday to benefit Tina Hausauer, owner of Bottom's Up in Driscoll. Proceeds will go to Tina to help w/ costs during her fight against cancer. Registration starts at 11 at Freedom Riders Clubhouse located on the west side of Airport Rd. just north of Expressway. Kickstands up at 1p. Ride ends back at the clubhouse with food & drinks being served.

Ends 5/31 - Color Splash Fun Dash is coming up on Sunday, May 31st at Cottonwood Park!  This is a 5k non-competitive run/walk & a fun event for the whole family with live entertainment by Tigirlily, food by Cloverdale, games and more!!  Registration is going on now at color splash fun dash dot com and find them on Facebook. Proceeds going to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. 


Ends 6/4 - Please be a part of a spaghetti feed and silent auction June 4th, 5:30p at the Eagles Club in Bismarck to raise funds for Jason Frey, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Jason and his wife Heather, a teacher at BHS, are currently at Mayo hospital where Jason will undergo treatment for at least 6 months. The Frey family needs our help during this fight! Bring your family, friends, and appetite! If you can't make the benefit, donations can be made at any Security First Bank of ND branch under the "Jason Frey Benefit".


Ends 6/7 – You are invited to be a part of an upcoming benefit for Phill Sjoberg on Sunday, June 7th at Spirit Of Life church in Mandan from 7:30a – 1p.  Phil has been diagnosed with a rare type of pancreatic cancer. Phill was recently hospitalized for a month & is receiving his treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. As you can imagine medical bills and travel expenses are starting to add up.
